Vienna/Kremsmünster, April 22nd, 2024– Harald Feiel (53) will take up the newly created position of Vice President of Group IT at Greiner on June 3. With this new position, the internationally active plastics and foam company from Kremsmünster aims to drive forward the Group-wide IT transformation even more strongly. Most recently, Feiel was Chief Digital Officer (CDO) at PORR AG, where he was responsible for "Enterprise Digital Strategy" and reported directly to the Executive Board.

Greiner's future success depends to a large extent on its strategic orientation in the area of information technology and digitalization. As Vice President of Group IT, Harald Feiel is responsible for the further development and implementation of the IT strategy, which is intended to make a significant contribution to achieving the objectives of the Group strategy. The new Group IT organization also focuses on identifying trends, risks and opportunities at an early stage, leveraging synergies and facilitating even better career paths in the field of information technology. 

Harald Feiel studied Applied Computer Science at the University of Salzburg and Software Engineering at Bowling Green State University in Ohio (USA). He started his career in 1994 as a research assistant in the USA. He then worked as a system administrator and subsequently as Chief Information Officer (CIO) in several international companies. From 2005 to 2019, he worked for the VAMED Group, where he initially set up the IT infrastructure at the Prince Court Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur and was then responsible for the entire IT strategy of the VAMED Group. 

Harald Feiel is married, has two children and lives with his family in Hinterbrühl (Lower Austria).
