  • Most recently, Morawietz was Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group and brings extensive operational experience in the chemical and process industries. 

Vienna/Kremsmünster, March 19, 2025. The Supervisory Board of Greiner AG has appointed Marcus Morawietz (57) as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective May 15, 2025. Morawietz has excellent experience in the chemical industry along with in-depth methodological and process expertise. He recently served as Managing Director and Senior Partner in the global Industrial Goods practice group at Boston Consulting Group (BCG).

Marcus Morawietz (57) has over 30 years of experience in the chemical and process industries, most recently serving as Managing Director and Senior Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In addition to transformation and M&A projects, his work focused on implementing growth strategies with emphasis on sales and production optimization along the entire value chain of the manufacturing industry. 

Prior to joining BCG, he worked at the strategy consulting firms Booz & Company/Strategy& and ATKearney, as well as in operations at Evonik, a leading global chemical company, where he worked in product management, operations, and research and development. Marcus Morawietz studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich, where he also completed his doctorate. Marcus Morawietz is married and has two children.
