Starting signal for the new trainees

In September, five new trainees started at Greiner to gain valuable experience in various areas over 18 months.

Gaining experience, discovering and developing personal strengths, and working in many different areas of the company in a range of locations – this is what awaits the five young trainees who started their training at Greiner last week.

The “Greiner Professional Program” offers four training tracks – in the areas of International Business with a focus on economics, Digitization & IT, Information Security, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with a focus on IT. All of them last 18 months and enable the young talents to gain insights into different fields of work within a very short time, but also to build up a valuable network within the entire group.

“The special feature of the program is definitely its special orientation character, as Greiner trainees can put their theoretical know-how into practice and work on exciting projects. But they also get to know the 'daily business' in an internationally operating company,” says Johanna Mittermayr-Leeb, Expert Talent Management Greiner AG.

The trainee program traditionally begins each year in September with an onboarding week, during which all trainees are welcomed by the four program managers and introduced to the company.

Since the trainee program started in 2011, more than 60 participants have begun the training. Many of them have had successful careers in the company, including Florian Hilger, who is now the executive assistant to Greiner CEO Saori Dubourg.

“The program offered me the opportunity to get to know the different divisions of Greiner and at the same time to prove my abilities and strengths in various projects. Furthermore, I was able to build up a broad network within the company. The trainee program was an optimal preparation for my current job.”
